ABOUT
I quit my job at the end of December 2009. I wanted to take some time off to focus on my writing, which had slowed to a standstill. I was still working in Barcelona at the time, and I wanted to stay a few more months before returning home. I decided to take advantage of my situation and write about Barcelona.
This is essentially why the book is called Adéu Barcelona Catalunya: It is my final project in Barcelona (at least for now) and is my farewell to the city that has housed me for two years.
Adéu Barcelona Catalunya is both a work of non-fiction and a graphic novel. The stories are real and almost every page is illustrated. I cover a variety of topics in the book…

Adéu Barcelona Catalunya was featured on Catalan radio RAC 1‘s El Mon a Rac 1 program (21/5/2010); you can see corresponding blog post here.
Matthew Tree also wrote about us in an article in the Catalan newspaper Avui, the article is called Sang fàcil (4/8/2010), which roughly translates to “simple blood.”
Osmosis Online reviewed us here (9/9/2010), calling us a “book… capturing a certain time in the author’s life, a snapshot brimming with resonance through which he can revisit his interesting, engaging, and sometimes awkward experiences.”
Both Asia Writes and One Inch Punch featured excerpts here (4/10/2010) and here (3/6/2010) respectively.
