Drawing has been one of my hobbies ever since I was a child. As I have grown up, I have found plenty of occasion to apply my drawing skills for different causes:

 

High school yearbook — caricaturing everyone in my class (2001).

Covers for student publications (2003-2005)

Editorial comics for Brown University’s daily paper (2005-2007)

 

Mural for a cafe in Beijing (2006)

 

Illustrating Professor Bil Johnson’s book on educational research (pending)

Illustrating my own biographical book (pending)

 

As I spend more and more time at the drawing board, I’m beginning to understand that my best illustrations are created when I need to convey a greater message. These drawings sometimes don’t make the prettiest pictures, but they communicate meaning effectively.
