Graphic design was something I stumbled into because a) I could draw, and b) I knew Photoshop and Illustrator. As I played around more, I realized that I was pretty good at it. So now, whenever an opportunity arises, I try to help out:

I created the logo and color scheme for a startup in Beijing (2005):

 

I was running a mentoring program at school and decided we needed a brand refresh (2005):

I helped a friend during a last-minute pinch with his band’s second record (2006):

 

When I can, I am continuing to consult for the Beijing startup (above) as they continue to expand into other lines of business.
